It is very popular gateway for travelers with blue water, white sand and palm trees. You can rent a taxi ($7-12), scooter ($25 all day) or bicycle ($5) to get there. There is also a local bus leaves to Playa Ancon and costs only 1 peso ($0,04), but it comes very infrequently.

The most popular nightlife spot in Trinidad is Casa de la Musica set at the top of the Plaza Mayor. You can grab a mojito and listen real Cuban rhythms every night at 7 pm. It is a perfect place to practice your salsa dancing skills and hang out with locals.
Another interesting place to explore during the night is Disco Ayala. It is located inside a natural cave up to the hill on the outskirts of Trinidad near the Ermita Popa Church. The main show starts around 1 am, when all fire walkers, acrobats and snake-handlers come up to give a performance.
HIKE TO JAVIRA WATERFALL
The nearest El Cubano National Park is a perfect escape to the Nature! Wear your hiking shoes, pack your bikini/shorts and take a hike to the incredible Javira waterfall. From Trinidad, the hike to El Cubano National Park is about 16km. Also, you can take a taxi to get to El Cubano in 25 minutes. Taking the Huellas de la História trail, you will reach the Javira Waterfall. The hike takes about 45 minutes through surrounding mountains.

If you would like to book your accommodation before come to Trinidad, the budget friendly and convenient option is Airbnb. You can contact with the owner of the house, ask about all details and plan your trip in advance. However, If you want to check and find everything after arriving to Trinidad, you will have lots of opportunities. Next to the bus station, locals offer accommodation in casas particulares with breakfast and private bathroom. The price for a room in casa particulares is between $20-$30.
WIFI IN TRINIDAD CUBA
The Wifi is reachable in Plaza Mayor in Trinidad. First you have to buy a prepaid ETECSA card, which is provides at ETECSA office and hotels. An hour internet access costs $2 and you are allow to buy 3 cards at once.
HOW TO GET TO TRINIDAD
Trinidad is situated about 5-6 hours drive from Havana. You can easily get there by bus or taxi colectivo. The Viazul bus company designed for tourists is the most common transport on this route. During high season, I would recommend buy your ticket one day before, because tickets might be sold out. The bus runs 2 times per day and costs $25. Another option is taxi colectivo for about $120, which you can share with friends.
